Job Description: Using electronic equipment to perform electrocardiograms (EKGs), phonocardiograms, echocardiograms, and stress tests.

Making cardiology patients feel at ease by answering any questions they may have about the tests.

 

Recording the results of cardiological tests and consulting with the on-call physician to schedule any necessary follow-up tests.

Providing assistance to physicians during non-evasive cardiological procedures by monitoring the patient's heart rates and alerting them to any readings that are outside of normal ranges.

Cleaning and adjusting cardiological equipment and supplies on a daily basis.

Recording supply inventory levels and replenishing the supply storeroom as needed.

Troubleshooting cardiological equipment issues and reporting any malfunctions to superiors.

Attending conferences and participating in research projects to stay current with cardiological developments
